Under water

I believe there are  images that we don’t create, but rather, they find their way to us.
All along this session, a few of those found us.

Snapping this photo has created a cyclone of emotions within me.

The aqueous sensation of the environment made me feel submerged in the depth of the water. Isolated by the calm and silence, comforting at first; but quickly ensnared in this isolation, unable to move or  breathe, because of an almost invisible pressure.

There was an irony in Charlotte’s body language, flaccid and depleted, all the while wearing fancy boots. The picture it painted was an odd one.

For a moment I forgot to breathe, trapped. The subsequent clicks showed me how to shatter this isolation.

By getting up, reaching out, bending without breaking, seeking for a hand and  support.
By breathing in deeply, reaching up and finally taking off, leaving all doubts behind.

Thank you Charlotte for your trust and being always so amazing to create with.

Below a few extra shots taken, some on 120 film, some on digital.
